Elise Mosher - Children's Pastor

“Unjani?”  (That’s Siswati for “How are you?”) I was born in Portland, Oregon but spent most of my growing up years in one airport terminal or another.  My parents, Doug and Elaine Perkins, were missionaries with the Church of the Nazarene in: Costa Rica, Argentina, Uruguay, Swaziland and Mozambique.

I met my husband, David (also a missionary kid) in Swaziland when we were both fifteen. (We were married in 1999)   We both attended Southern Nazarene University and then transferred to Nazarene Bible College here in the Springs. After I graduated from Bible College, I earned my master’s degree in education from the University of Phoenix.

We have three beautiful daughters, Esther, Lydia and Abigail, (our pride and joy) who constantly remind us, to “keep it real.”

David and I love living in Colorado!  Like so many others have experienced-- what began as a “temporary move” has turned into a stubborn refusal to leave such a beautiful state.  We love to hike, ski, mountain bike and play soccer.

Our passion is for children’s ministry!  We firmly believe that Christ has called us to be a light shining in the darkness.  In a world so caught up in distractions, our aim is to follow Jesus and to lead as many children as possible into a saving knowledge of who He is.   “Children are a heritage from the Lord…” (Psalms 127:3) What an amazing blessing and challenge we have been given!  We look forward to partnering with you to make an impact in your child’s life and in the lives of children all over Colorado Springs.
